Allegro competitor price monitoring

Salecare monitors the prices of sellers who compete with your range. It shows how far they undercut you and where they drop below your purchase price. You see the price comparison from your own perspective, offer by offer.

How Allegro competitor price monitoring works

The Competition tab in Prices

On the Competition tab in Prices you see on how many offers with competition someone is cheaper than you and by how much on average, how many competitor offers are cheaper than your purchase cost, and a table of sellers with the number of offers where they undercut you. The PDF market overview adds the number of tracked competitors and products under pressure.

A report on a specific seller

For a chosen competitor you see in how many products they are cheaper, equal or more expensive, how deep they go and where they are below your cost of goods. The product table links straight to the offers.

Pressure broken down by category

You can see which of your categories are under the most price pressure and how deep the undercuts run. You know where price competition is strong and where there is none.

Below the threshold is visible at once

When a competitor drops below your cost of goods, it is marked plainly. It is a signal that matching that price would mean selling at a loss.

Who Allegro competitor price monitoring in Salecare is for

You sell goods other sellers list too

Several sellers list the same barcode and price decides who sells. Salecare shows how many of them undercut you, by how much and in which products. Instead of opening other people's offers in a browser, you see the whole market around your range on one page and decide where a lower price is worth it and where it is not.

Sales fell and you do not know why

A drop in sales usually starts with price. Salecare shows which sellers went below your price, by how much and in which products, and a notification reports a competitor who undercut you for the first time in the last 24 hours. You know whether the market changed or your offer did.

You run the repricer and want to see who it follows

The repricer follows the cheapest competitor, so it is worth seeing who that is. The competitor list next to your offer carries the seller login, their listing title, the price, the difference against your price and the date of the last observation. You exclude a wrongly matched offer, or the whole seller, with one click, and from the next price check the repricer stops counting them.

What the Allegro panel does not tell you about rivals

A competitor's price set against your cost

In Allegro search results you see who is cheaper, but not whether matching them still pays off. Salecare sets the lowest price of each competitor against your purchase price and margin and plainly marks the sellers who drop below your purchase price. It is a signal that following them means selling at a loss.

A signal when someone new goes under your price

Allegro sends no notification when a cheaper seller appears next to you overnight. Once a day Salecare gathers in your notifications the competitors who undercut you for the first time in the last 24 hours or dropped below your purchase price, on offers with no automatic repricing, and the competitors who cut their price by at least 5% in the last 24 hours, on every offer.

One market, the same figures everywhere

A manual comparison in a spreadsheet is out of date the day you finish it. Salecare collects competitor prices on every repricer run and through continuous market monitoring, and every seller carries the date of the last observation. A competitor excluded from the comparison disappears from the market overview, the seller report, notifications and PDFs at once, so the figures on screen describe the same market the repricer follows.

Price pressure counted for every seller and every category, with a clear mark on who drops below your cost of goods.

What you need first and what monitoring will not do

Purchase prices on your products

The "below your purchase price" mark and price pressure counted from margin need a purchase price on the product. Without it Salecare still shows who is cheaper and by how much, but cannot judge whether matching pays off. You load purchase prices by file import or on a schedule from the wholesaler.

The picture of the market fills in over several runs

Competitor prices appear when Salecare checks the market for your products, on every repricer run and during the scheduled sweep of the range. A large range is walked in turn, starting with the products checked longest ago, so the first full picture of the market builds over several runs.

Salecare does not change your price in this feature

The market overview and the seller report show the situation but do not change offer prices. Automatic price changes within your margin are the repricer's job, and a wrongly matched competitor is excluded from the comparison with one click, in this offer only or in every offer of the company.

Questions about Allegro competitor price monitoring

Where do competitor prices come from?
From the public Allegro offer search results for your products, read through the official Allegro API while the repricer runs and during the continuous sweep of your range. The lowest available price of each competitor per product is stored.
How up to date are competitor prices?
Offers with a repricer rule are checked as often as your plan allows, every 5 to 60 minutes. Salecare walks the other matched offers every hour, starting with those checked longest ago, and opening the competitor list on an offer refreshes prices older than 30 minutes. Next to each seller you see when their prices were last recorded.
How is price tracking in Salecare different from a price comparison site?
A price comparison site shows the buyer the cheapest offer. Salecare sets competitor prices against your purchase price and margin, so you see not only who is cheaper but also whether matching them still pays off.
Can I download the report?
Yes, you export both the market overview and the report on a specific seller to PDF. The seller report links straight to the offers, and the market overview to seller profiles.
Which plan has competitor price monitoring, and what about a missing purchase price?
Competitor analysis is available from the Business plan. Marking sellers who drop below your purchase price needs a purchase price on the product. When it is missing you still see who is cheaper and by how much, but without a judgement on whether matching pays off. You add purchase prices by file import or by the scheduled import from the wholesaler.
What if the competitor list holds an offer for different goods?
One barcode often covers a whole family of goods, so a single item in another size can stand next to your set. You exclude that offer, or the whole seller, from the comparison on the competitor list next to your offer, in this offer only or in every offer, or in the repricer settings for the whole company. An exclusion takes effect on the next price check and can be undone with one click.
Do my own Allegro accounts and auctions count as competition?
No. Your own Allegro accounts are never competition for each other and Salecare skips them automatically, including accounts connected later. Auctions are not compared either, because an auction price is the current bid, not a price the goods can be bought for.
Is tracking competitor prices allowed by the Allegro terms?
Salecare reads competitor prices through the official Allegro API, as a registered application, and sees only public buy now offers that any buyer can see. It never signs in to other sellers' accounts and fetches no Allegro pages outside the API.
How does Salecare match competitor offers to your product?
By the EAN code, which goes into the Allegro search as the search phrase. When the offer has no code, or the same code sits on different products of yours, the offer name is searched instead. Auctions, offers in another currency, offers in another condition than yours (by the Condition parameter, or by the title without it) and the offers Allegro adds to the results as similar are left out. The Competition tab and the PDF reports compare the item price without delivery. The Salecare repricer adds to a competitor's price only the part of their delivery that costs more than yours.
What about sets and multipacks?
Salecare does not detect the number of pieces in an offer on its own. Next to each competitor you see the title of their offer, so a set set against a single piece shows at once. You exclude such an offer from the comparison in this offer only or in every offer.
