Allegro offer promotion accounted for offer by offer.

Salecare pulls promotion fees from your Allegro settlements on every sync and attributes each one to the offer it was charged for. You see what promoting a given offer cost in a chosen period and how much of that offer’s revenue it took. The same amount comes off the margin of the orders that offer sold in.

How Salecare settles Allegro promotion fees

Fees arrive from settlements on their own

You upload nothing and you configure nothing. Salecare reads promotion fees from your Allegro account settlements on every sync and takes the ones Allegro linked to a specific offer. After each sync the current and the previous month are recalculated, so a fee booked late still lands where it belongs.

One row is one offer and one month

The Promotion tab collects one offer’s fees from one month into a single row, labelled with the offer’s name. Beside it stand the fee, that offer’s revenue in that month and the fee’s share of it, and a share above 10% is highlighted. A negative amount means Allegro gave more back on that offer’s promotion that month than it charged.

Promotion as a share of the offer’s revenue

The Promotion tab puts the fee next to the revenue of the same offer from the same month and works out how much of it the fee took. One line above the list gives the total fees and their share of the promoted offers’ revenue. The period is whole calendar months, the previous month by default, and the list opens on the offers whose fee took the largest share of their revenue.

The same amount comes off the margin

The fee is split evenly across the orders from its own period in which that offer sold, to the penny, so the shares add back up to the fee exactly. After the allocation Salecare recomputes the margin of those orders in the months the allocation covered. Promotion then becomes part of the order's Allegro fees. In the Profit & loss statement it shows once the Allegro fees are expanded, and on the Dashboard the Allegro fees row opens the settlement entries with a Promotion tab of its own.

Who promotion cost tracking is for

You pay for promotion and do not know if it pays back

Fees for highlighting an offer and other promotion options appear on the Allegro bill as more items, and sales appear in the panel. Nobody puts the two side by side. Salecare stands the fee next to the revenue of the same offer from the same period and states what share of that revenue it took. The list opens on the offers whose fee took the largest share of their revenue. An offer that took a fee and sold nothing comes to the top once you sort the list by fee.

The promotion bill grows and the offers run into hundreds

With a large assortment the monthly promotion fee is one number in the settlements, and nothing follows from it. Salecare breaks it down to single offers, and you sort the list by fee, revenue or the fee's share of revenue, over the whole calendar months you pick. Instead of reading settlements item by item, you sort by fee and check which of the most expensive offers sold at all. The decision to stop promoting one is then carried out in the Allegro panel.

You run several Allegro accounts

The account switcher at the top of the app narrows the Promotion tab to one account, and the All accounts view shows the whole company, with the account login on every offer. Promotion on a clearance account then never mixes with promotion on the main one, and the profit and loss statement is still read together. A fee charged to one account never reaches the list of another.

What Allegro settlements leave out about promotion

The fee set against the same offer’s revenue

An Allegro settlement is a list of charges ordered by date and fee type. It does not say how much that same offer sold in the meantime, so a promotion fee stays an amount with nothing to compare it to. Salecare works out, for every row, the fee’s share of the promoted offer’s revenue over the fee’s own period. When the offer had no revenue in that period, the column shows a dash instead of an invented percentage.

Promotion inside the margin of a single order

A monthly total will not tell you which order earned it. Salecare splits the fee evenly across the orders from its own period in which the promoted offer sold, and subtracts that share from the margin of each of them. The leftover groszy are handed out so the shares add back up to the fee exactly. That is why the order margin, the offer margin and the profit and loss statement say the same thing about promotion.

Promotion apart, campaign commissions apart

Taking part in an Allegro campaign, for example Allegro Days, is not a promotion fee. When a campaign's terms set a commission, Allegro charges it together with the sales commission. Those amounts are not on the Promotion tab, the tab says so plainly, and you look for them in the order cost breakdown. The commission a highlighted offer pays when it sells stays on the commission side too. Counting it under promotion as well would take the same zloty off the margin twice.

A promotion fee is split to the penny across the orders from its own period in which the promoted offer sold.

What you need first and what promotion tracking does not do

A connected account and settlements already pulled

The Promotion tab fills in on its own once Salecare has pulled the settlements of a connected Allegro account, because the data comes from settlements and not from an uploaded file. Until the first promotion fee the tab says there are no promotion fees in this period. The Promotion tab works on every plan, Starter included, while the other tabs of Advertising need the Pro plan.

Only fees linked to an offer

A promotion fee that Allegro linked to a specific offer reaches the list. A fee charged to the whole account has nothing to be attributed to, so it is not on this tab. You see it in the Profit & loss statement once the Allegro fees are expanded, and on the Dashboard, where the Allegro fees row opens the settlement entries with a Promotion tab of its own.

Salecare does not switch promotion on for you

Salecare does not buy promotion, does not start it and does not stop it. There is no button on this tab that puts an offer up for promotion. Salecare reads what Allegro charged and shows the effect on margin, and changing which offers are promoted is carried out in the Allegro panel.

Questions about promoting offers on Allegro

How is offer promotion different from Allegro Ads?
They are two different spends and two different places in Salecare. Allegro Ads are paid results billed per click, and their data is read by the free Salecare Ads Chrome extension from the open Allegro Ads panel, from the Pro plan up. Offer promotion fees come from Allegro settlements, without any extension and on every plan. In the cost breakdown Allegro Ads have a line of their own, while promotion is part of the Allegro fees.
Where does Salecare take the cost of promotion from?
From your Allegro account settlements, pulled on every sync. It counts the entries Allegro booked as a promotion fee and linked to an offer. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is retyped by hand.
Why do I not see fees for Strefa Okazji or Allegro Days?
Allegro gives the Okazja marking automatically and charges no fee for it. Taking part in a campaign, for example Allegro Days, is not a promotion fee, and a commission the campaign's terms set is charged together with the sales commission. You find it in the order cost breakdown, on the commission side. The Promotion tab says so plainly, so the difference does not surprise you when you compare the figure with an Allegro settlement.
Why is the amount on an offer negative?
Allegro books promotion refunds and bonuses under the same fee type, so they land in the same row with the opposite sign. A month in which Allegro gave back more than it charged shows a negative amount. The same amount then raises the margin of the orders from that period.
How quickly does promotion reach the margin?
The allocation runs after every order sync and covers the current and the previous month, so a fee booked late is attributed too. After the first sync of an account it covers the whole settlement history downloaded. Right after it Salecare recomputes the margin of the orders from those same months in which the promoted offers sold. Nothing has to be refreshed by hand.
