Real Allegro margin, counted after every order.

Salecare subtracts fees, cost of goods, shipping, packing and order handling, fixed costs, ads and returns until one number is left from your turnover, the one you decide on. The Allegro panel stops at sales value, Salecare keeps counting.

How Salecare counts your real Allegro margin

Real margin, not just turnover

For each order Salecare starts from what the buyer paid and subtracts Allegro commission and fees, cost of goods, shipping and the allocated ads and returns, and for a VAT-registered company it counts all of these amounts without VAT. That is your real margin per order. From that margin Salecare then subtracts packing and order handling, and fixed costs from the result of the whole period, and only that gives profit.

The full cost structure in one view

The Revenue breakdown card on the Dashboard lists the period's costs from the largest, each with its share of revenue, and says how many grosze of every zł of revenue stay as profit. Clicking a cost shows the settlement entries behind it.

Trend, hours and categories

You see the daily sales and margin trend, a heatmap of the hours you sell in, and margin broken down by category. It is clear at once what raises the result and what lowers it. The forecast shows what sales to expect in the coming months.

Honest data, even when it is incomplete

When an offer has no purchase price, the margin is worked out with the estimated cost of goods and marked with ~. Salecare never fakes precision it does not have.

Who the real margin in Salecare is for

A seller who only knows the turnover

The Allegro panel shows sales value, while decisions on price, ads and assortment are made on profit. Salecare subtracts Allegro commission and fees, cost of goods, shipping, ads and returns from every order, so next to each sale stands the amount that actually remains. You see it on the orders list, on the offer card and on the Dashboard, with no spreadsheet.

A company whose assortment has different costs

Glassware costs more to pack than textiles, and a returned piece of furniture costs more than a returned T-shirt. Packing and order handling and return costs are set once as a general rule, and categories that differ get their own rules. Shipping rates are set per delivery method, and per account where needed. Each category's margin is then counted from its own costs, not from an average for the whole shop.

A VAT-registered company that reports to an accountant

For a VAT-registered company the net margin says how much really stays in the business. One switch in the VAT settings decides whether the whole app shows net or gross amounts, and every table says so once in the name of the revenue, for example Net revenue. VAT rules per category and a separate purchase VAT rate mean goods bought at 23% and sold at 8% are counted correctly.

What the Allegro panel does not show

The Allegro panel stops at sales value

Allegro totals your sales and issues a settlement with commissions, but it does not know your cost of goods, packaging, labour or the rates you pay the carrier. Salecare takes commissions, fees, Smart surcharges and Allegro Ads spend straight from the Allegro settlements, and you only fill in the costs on your side. The two halves make a full cost breakdown of every order.

A month-end spreadsheet versus a margin on the order

A spreadsheet averages the month and shows it after the fact, when the price was already too low. Salecare counts the margin of every order separately, with the cost breakdown on the order card, and recomputes margins in the background after a cost change. The Profit & loss statement gathers the same figures into a period result, compared with the previous period, with nothing retyped.

An Allegro payout is not profit

Between a sale and a payout come commissions, refunds and held funds, and the Allegro panel shows them in several places at once. The Payouts page in Salecare gathers the Allegro wallet history into one list, split into inflows, deductions, refunds and holds, and the Profit & loss statement says how much of that flow remains as the result. Cash flow and result are read separately, because they are two different numbers.

From 100 zł of turnover a typical seller keeps about 14 zł of profit. The rest is cost the Allegro panel never totals.

What you need first, and what the margin does not do

A connected Allegro account and your costs entered

Salecare pulls commissions and fees once the Allegro account is connected through OAuth authorization. Shipping rates, return costs, packing and order handling, fixed costs and VAT rates are entered once in Settings, in the Costs section. Purchase prices go on the product card or come in through a file import. The margin is as accurate as the costs the app knows.

Without a purchase price the margin is approximate

When a product has no purchase price saved, Salecare works out the margin with the estimated cost of goods, a set percentage of the sale price, and marks it as approximate, with a ~ or an Estimated cost badge. When an order has no VAT rate, its net amounts are marked unknown rather than guessed. Adding the purchase price or a VAT rule removes the mark.

It is not a financial statement

The Profit & loss statement covers Allegro sales, purchase costs, Allegro fees, returns and the packing and order handling and fixed costs entered in Salecare. It leaves out wages, depreciation and financial costs. The statement counts amounts in złoty. Sales and fees in other currencies stay out of the total, and the page lists them separately, each with its złoty equivalent at the NBP average rate of the last business day before the day of the sale or fee.

Questions about the real Allegro margin

Where do the commissions and fees come from?
From your Allegro account settlements, pulled after OAuth authorization. Margin is calculated on the real charges in those settlements, not on estimates.
Does the margin include VAT?
It depends on whether the company is registered for VAT. A VAT-registered company reads its margin net, because the VAT on a sale goes to the tax office and the VAT on cost invoices is reclaimed. A company not registered for VAT reads its margin gross. Listing prices are always gross, because that is what the buyer pays. One switch in the VAT settings sets it.
What if I do not have a purchase price everywhere?
Salecare counts the margin where it knows the cost, and works out the remaining items with the estimated cost of goods, marked with ~. Uploading purchase prices through import raises the accuracy right away.
Which plan includes the real margin?
The real-margin dashboard is in the Starter plan already, and a new account starts with a 14-day trial of the Business plan features, available once per Allegro account and once per tax ID or VAT number. So you read the margin on each order, on the offer card and in the Profit & loss statement from day one, once the Allegro account is connected and the costs on your side are entered.
How often does the margin refresh?
Salecare pulls orders and settlements from Allegro on a schedule, and once a day it re-reads the orders of the last few days, so a sale missed in one pull comes back in the next. The Allegro wallet history on the Payouts page is pulled every hour. After a change of costs or VAT rates the margins are recomputed in the background, and the Recalculate all margins button can be run up to three times a day.
Does the margin work with several Allegro accounts?
Yes. Packing and order handling and return costs are set as a general rule for all accounts, with exceptions added per category, and for packing also per account. Fixed costs belong to the whole company. The Profit & loss statement and the Dashboard show the result of all accounts together or of one account after switching. The statement counts amounts in złoty. Sales and fees in other currencies stay out of the total, and the page lists them separately, each with its złoty equivalent at the NBP average rate of the last business day before the day of the sale or fee.
